Celebrating International Breastfeeding Week

ACRIF, in partnership with Welthungerhilfe, played an active role in the national and community-level events of Breastfeeding Week 2023, themed “Enabling Breastfeeding: Making a Difference for Working Mothers.” This collaborative engagement included dynamic awareness-raising sessions featuring drama, songs, and interactive activities at the community level. The focus was on highlighting the importance of exclusive breastfeeding within the critical first 1000 days of a child’s life. ACRIF and Welthungerhilfe worked together to promote understanding and awareness of the crucial role exclusive breastfeeding plays in early child development.

At the community level, information sessions were meticulously organized to underscore the significance of exclusive breastfeeding, fostering a deeper understanding within local communities. Concurrently, ACRIF made substantial contributions at the national level by presenting the BMZ code. This national-level involvement underscores ACRIF’s dedication to advocating for and supporting breastfeeding practices on a broader scale.Through their active engagement in both community and national initiatives during Breastfeeding Week, ACRIF and Welthungerhilfe showcased their unwavering commitment to advancing optimal infant nutrition and disseminating awareness about the pivotal role of exclusive breastfeeding in the early stages of a child’s life.
