From Harvest to Healthy Plates: ACRIF Empowers Communities Through Cooking Demonstrations

With support from Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and BMZ funding, communities gain practical skills to improve nutrition and health

ACRIF, with the support of Welthungerhilfe (WHH) through funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), successfully conducted participatory cooking demonstrations across six community sites.

The demonstrations brought together community members to learn practical methods for preparing locally harvested foods while preserving essential nutrients. Through hands-on sessions, participants transformed fresh produce into nutritious and appealing meals, strengthening the connection between agriculture and healthy diets.

By empowering families—particularly caregivers—with knowledge and practical skills, the initiative supports improved household nutrition, healthier children, and stronger, more resilient communities. This activity underscores ACRIF’s commitment to promoting sustainable nutrition and community empowerment using locally available resources.
