Empowering Nutrition Champions as Catalysts for Change
ACRIF has recently concluded a comprehensive three-day training program aimed at enhancing the advocacy skills of 17 designated nutrition champions. These champions were carefully selected from diverse sectors, including the community, key ministries such as MOHD, MOE, MOL&F, and MOAD, as well as academic institutions.
The primary objective of this training initiative was to empower these champions to actively drive positive change in crucial areas, including nutrition programming, gender-transformative programming, instilling healthy eating habits, and advocating for rights and entitlements.
This program unfolded as a successful collaboration between ACRIF, the Ministry of Health Development, and Welthungerhilfe. By pooling their expertise and resources, these entities jointly arranged a training curriculum tailored to the unique needs of the selected champions. Through this collaborative effort, the aim was to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively advocate for transformative initiatives, thereby fostering a collective commitment to advancing nutrition, gender equity, and advocating for the rights and entitlements of the community.
