Child Right to Governance

Every child has the right to participate in decisions that affect their lives and to have their voice heard. Our organization is deeply committed to ensuring that children are recognized as active agents of change in shaping their futures and contributing to their communities.

Through the Child Rights Governance (CRG) project, supported by Save the Children International (SCI), we have strengthened national and local systems to better fulfill and protect children’s rights in Somaliland. The project has enhanced children’s capacity to engage in decision-making processes and has fostered stronger civil society support for child rights.

Additionally, the project trained 174 stakeholders in child rights monitoring and budget advocacy, laying the groundwork for a more responsive and accountable child rights governance framework.

Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen child participation mechanisms, advocate for child-friendly policies, and expand our collaboration with government institutions, civil society, and international partners to ensure children’s rights are upheld and integrated into all levels of decision-making.
