Child Right to Nutrition & Food

Every child has the right to guaranteed access to a safe and healthy diet, along with adequate daily nourishment. To support this, we implement programs focused on maternal and child nutrition, including Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, home-based food fortification with micronutrient powders (MNP), the provision of specialized nutritious food for children aged 6–23 months and pregnant and lactating women (PLW), capacity building for staff, and policy advocacy under the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) movement.

ACRIF works to empower agro-pastoral communities by enhancing productivity through improved seeds, sustainable agricultural practices, better market access to sell surplus produce, and sustainable management of natural resources. Additionally, ACRIF promotes food security and economic growth by teaching modern agricultural and farming methods, providing fertilizers and seeds to vulnerable farmers, and supporting watershed management programs to ensure long-term sustainability.
