Project Overview
Target Population: Drought-affected households and vulnerable groups, including children, pregnant women, and older people.
Location: 162 villages in Baligubadle, Salahlay, Sabawanag, Oodweyne, Burao, and Ainabo districts, Somaliland.
Duration: April to June 2023.
Donor / Partner: Genel Energy UK.
Primary Goal: Meet immediate food needs and protect the nutrition and livelihoods of drought-affected vulnerable households.
Rationale & Context
Funded by Genel Energy UK, ACRIF implemented an emergency food distribution project across 162 villages in six districts. The project distributed essential food items, including rice, sugar, flour, and oil, to households affected by drought and focused on vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant women, and older people.
