Monitoring & Evaluation Policy

September 22, 2023

This Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Policy underscores the African Children’s Rights Foundation’s (ACRIF) commitment to achieving excellence and maximizing the impact of its programs for children through robust M&E and accountability mechanisms. Guided by principles of managing for results, value for money, accountability, and learning, the policy outlines the framework for tracking progress using clear objectives and measurable indicators across all levels of ACRIF’s operations. It details the result-chain methodology, monitoring criteria (SMART), and the purposes and criteria for evaluations (relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability). Furthermore, it specifies the timing and planning of evaluations, associated costs, management responsibilities, and reporting formats, emphasizing a shared responsibility among all staff, partners, and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement, informed decision-making, and transparency in ACRIF’s work.
