The Somaliland Civil Society Network for Scaling Up Nutrition (SLCSN-SUN) convened its 2026 Annual Symposium, bringing together civil society organizations, government institutions, development partners, nutrition professionals, and other key stakeholders committed to improving nutrition outcomes across Somaliland.
The symposium provided an important platform for stakeholders to come together, reflect on progress, discuss emerging nutrition challenges, and strengthen collective efforts toward a healthier and more nutrition-secure Somaliland.
Throughout the symposium, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on strengthening nutrition coordination, advocacy, community engagement, accountability, and multi-sectoral collaboration. The event also highlighted the vital role of civil society in supporting national nutrition priorities and ensuring that nutrition remains central to development and public health efforts.
The gathering reinforced the importance of working collectively across sectors to address malnutrition and promote better nutrition outcomes for children, mothers, families, and vulnerable communities.
As Somaliland continues to advance its nutrition agenda, the SLCSN-SUN Network remains committed to strengthening civil society participation, promoting evidence-based advocacy, and supporting coordinated action for improved nutrition and food security.
The 2026 Annual Symposium served as a valuable opportunity to connect, reflect, collaborate, and renew collective commitment to scaling up nutrition across Somaliland.
