The Somaliland Civil Society Network for Scaling Up Nutrition (SLCSN-SUN) has successfully concluded two productive days of its 2026 Annual Symposium, marking meaningful progress towards stronger collaboration, collective action, and a shared commitment to advancing nutrition and food systems across Somaliland.

Held under the theme of uniting member organizations to advance Somaliland’s nutrition and food systems agenda, the symposium provided an important platform for strengthening partnerships, reinforcing the network’s collective vision, and promoting coordinated action towards improved nutrition outcomes and healthier communities.

Over the two days, the network celebrated several significant milestones, including welcoming eight new member organizations and renewing the membership of 25 organizations, further strengthening its membership and collective voice. The symposium also saw the election of the SLCSN-SUN Executive Committee, an important step towards strengthening the network’s leadership and governance. In addition, the official launch of the SLCSN-SUN Common Position Paper marked a key milestone in advancing shared advocacy priorities and promoting a unified civil society voice on nutrition and food systems.

As the symposium concludes, the commitment to action continues. The progress achieved reflects the importance of collaboration, strong partnerships, and coordinated advocacy in addressing nutrition challenges and building healthier, more resilient communities across Somaliland.

Moving forward, SLCSN-SUN and its member organizations will continue working together to translate shared commitments into meaningful action, strengthen partnerships, and advocate for sustainable improvements in nutrition and food systems.
