As a child rights organization, ACRIF is dedicated to advancing child protection systems and creating a safe, inclusive, and empowered continent for children. ACRIF specializes in designing and executing evidence-based programs that safeguard children from harm and elevate their voices to shape their own destiny. We partner with local communities, schools, and governments to design safe environments where children’s rights are respected, their voices are amplified, and their leadership is nurtured.
At ACRIF, we are committed to creating a world where every child is safe, protected, respected, and able to influence the decisions that shape their lives. We strengthen child protection systems to prevent and respond to abuse, exploitation, neglect, violence, and harmful practices, while advancing gender equality and tackling gender-based violence. Our programs empower girls and boys to know their rights, speak up, and participate meaningfully in their families, schools, communities, and institutions. Through strong advocacy, community action, capacity building, and child-led initiatives, ACRIF helps build responsive systems and safer environments where children’s rights, voices, dignity, and well-being are protected and valued

Strengthen prevention and response programs to protect children, women, and girls from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation, trafficking, harmful practices, and other forms of harm.

Challenge gender inequality, harmful social norms, discrimination, child marriage, and other practices that place women, girls, and children at risk of violence and exclusion.

Strengthen laws, policies, institutions, referral mechanisms, and community-based protection systems to prevent violations, safeguard children, and ensure timely and effective protection and response.

ACRIF advocates for young people to gain practical knowledge and entrepreneurial skills through tailored programs that empower them to create sustainable employment opportunities for themselves and others.

Create safe and meaningful opportunities for children and young people to express their views, make decisions, develop leadership skills, and participate as active partners in matters affecting their lives

Remove barriers to participation and decision-making, ensuring that girls, children with disabilities, marginalized groups, and other vulnerable children have equal opportunities to express their views and influence decisions.

Strengthen parents, caregivers, communities, men, and boys to promote positive parenting, healthy relationships, positive gender norms, child rights, and violence-free environments.

Build strong alliances among government, civil society, communities, children, women’s groups, and other stakeholders while using evidence, awareness campaigns, social and behavior change communication, and advocacy to influence policies and accelerate lasting change.
ACRIF protects and empowers children through rights-based programs that strengthen child protection systems, promote meaningful participation, advance gender equality, and prevent violence, abuse, exploitation, and harmful practices.
Through advocacy, child-led forums, community dialogue, capacity building, research, and awareness initiatives, we strengthen protection mechanisms, challenge harmful social norms, and create safe spaces where children can understand their rights, express their views, influence decisions, and grow in dignity and safety.
